Chapter 3 Class Discussion 2

Q February 23rd- Class Discussion During the class on February 23rd the following questions will be posed to discuss by either turning your mic on to talk or by answering in the chat. You are required to respond to at least one and encouraged to respond to more. Once you respond in class so we can hear each others responses you will summarize your verbal answer or copy you chat answer into this assignment. This can be completed during the class and will add to your participation grade. You can still do this if absent but small point deductions will apply. There will be leniency for 1 absence and excused absences, please communicate with me throughout the semester. Additional questions may be posed during the class- answers to those if complete can be used here as well. • How does technology change our lives for the better? Or does it? • When you tweet a social cause, share an ice bucket challenge video on YouTube, or cut and paste a status update about cancer awareness on Facebook, are you promoting social change? • Does the immediate and constant flow of information mean we are more aware and engaged than any society before us?

Technology changes our lives for the better at an extent, It improves our communication, provides an easier access to student education, fast access to anything we want or need. I believe technology has its downs when it comes to social media and how it affects certain people mental health or how easy a person can be scammed. I do believe when we post certain things on social media we are promoting social change because we are posting something that we strongly believe to and other people could possibly agree to as well creating human interactions and relationships.
